The risqué spoken-rant/electronica duo is back with a double album spread over 4 EP's. This time the rants and rambles stretch out over long, grooving tracks for a more laid-back but still thoroughly entertaining experience - and if blue language isn't your thing*, there's always the instrumentals, which make for hypnotic listening in their own right.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 1 - Instrumentals

Part 2 - Instrumentals

Part 1 & Part 1 - Instrumentals released by Hallo Excentrico!
Part 2 & Part 2 - Instrumentals released by Setting Sun

in which case, what are you doing here?
Dear all;

Some of you may know but I was over visiting the Irish indie record label "Dark World International' (http://www.darkworld.com/) last week for discussion on a few things and while it is a bit early to reveal what these discussions in more detail, I spent part of the time there doing some Improvisations in their studios and we came out with six noisy but fun filled tracks.

One of these, probably the most radio friendly I believe oddly enough is going up on I tunes soon, but the other five have all appeared on their website which can be accessed here..

http://www.darkworld.com/00page08.html

Namely the tracks in questions

1) Forgotten (pretty nice mix)

2) Stranger in my Cell

3) Pointless Noise

4) Amnesia

5) Compressed Memories in the mist

Let me know what you think!

Cheers

Andy N

New from Hallo Excentrico!:

Thee Crumb - Thee Crumb Tapes

HEMP047 - new release

"This selection, culled from three years (2004-06) worth of offcuts, sound experiments, lost songs and general oddities, was originally going to be made available as a limited edition of 50 C-40 cassettes but was shelved before ever being revealed due to problems with dubbing such a quantity of tapes without proper equipment. This is the reason the two completed tracks both last 19 minutes and 54 seconds as they were originally designed to fit onto two sides of a cassette.

The inspiration for this project (both in the nature of the album itself and in the less-than-slick mixing - no Ableton Live here!) is clearly The Faust Tapes, although the precise ordering of the pieces was decided by assigning every section a number and then drawing cards at random from the major arcana of a tarot deck." - Thee Crumb

MP3 ZIP

Art

Notes

Also available in OGG

This time though, the scale's much smaller. I have 24 hours to soundtrack a 7-minute short film about two clowns breaking up. To put it in context, if the DTF soundtrack warranted a grand orchestral piece with AC/DC guitars, this one's currently incorporating some Tom Waits-y guitars and Badalamenti-style synths. I'll upload it exclusively here when it's done.

Lineup's currently unconfirmed, but I'm hoping it will be:

Kunt And The Gang (imagine 'Just Can't Get Enough'-era Depeche Mode with knob gags - fans include Charlie Brooker, Fiesta magazine and Jonathon King)
Pindown (industrial noise's (incorrect) answer to The Go! Team)
The 2 Rabbits (minimal punk duo singing about girls - true Colchester enigmas and legends)

The venue however is confirmed, so this is definetely happening. So, anyone within the vicinity, please come along to this. I need as many people as possible to make it financially viable. :S And if it's a success, there may be scope for doing another DigiVom gig…… there's the incentive to turn up!

Details to follow…

You'd better believe it. Just confirmed with the Australian tape label Smell The Stench that I'll be doing some ambient drones to be released onto a 1-sided C-90 tape in an edition of either 40 or 50, I'm not quite sure of that yet. Artwork will be black and white on green paper, like CBML3. The working title is 'Unexpected Serenity', although that's very much TBC. The audio will be part-improvised/part-"process" ambient drones, much in the same style as the 18/12/06 audio previously available online. STS is technically a noise label though, so I might add a bit of distortion and noise here and there. I might even ask for (a) remix(es), I don't know yet. Depends how much material I can generate. More news as it comes.

PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS PART 4 OF A TEN PART SERIES.
