hi oliver,
yes as mr. crumb said that was only really a draft version, all names and titles will be good on the final version, promise ;)
and i can't complain about long names, i think my track title is the longest of the lot!

thanx, the crumb, for putting my mind at rest..:) if, though, the long title screws up the layout too much, i don't mind if "his Namelessness…" is shortened to "hNIL".
very much looking forward to this release.

Don't worry, Meep's only doing a rough cover right now - I have the full tracklisting that I'll be sending over once submissions are closed and your track is correctly listed there as "his Namelessness Is Legion - Synaptic Sleepercell" - there's a couple more long titles as well, so I hope that isn't going to screw the cover up.

BTW, submissions close on Friday at Midnight UK time - so if anybody else wants to send me a track you'd better get a move on.

hey meep and all,

like the cover - the latest posted version.
i did however find an error in my track title - not sure if it's only on the cover or also in the mp3 tag - i think i should have tagged it correctly - it should say:

"his Namelessness Is Legion - Synaptic Sleepercell" (as in 'inactive terrorcell' Says :"sleep cell" on the cover)… and the "h" in "his" is always lowercase with this project name… i know, confusing, isn't it…:)

well, if you (and or whoever is uploading the mp3s) could correct that, i'd be very grateful. thanx a lot!

cheers, oliver/th

Ooh yeah, that's very cool, I like the pharmaceutical aesthetic, it's done very accurately. If you could make it look even more realistic with shading and reflections so it looks like a real bottle of pills that would be awesome but it's pretty cool as it is.

Well I did ask if anybody had any thoughts about the cover but got no response either way - so I'm not too sure if I'm going to go with the one I posted above or make an entirely new one. It'll probably come down to how much time I've got next weekend. The other two are in the other thread so I can grab them from there if I need to.

Do you want to send me an MP3 of that or shall I just knock one up from the WAV file I've already got?

TC, I sent in a track at one point; I guess it didn't get through. It's here @ 320 (right-click on Download then Save Link As), but if you'd rather have the WAV, let me know.

Thanks, Mitch - I've got it now.

Right, I've had a listen through what I've got and it's in pretty good shape. Including Mitch's track, there are 15 in all, coming in at just over an hour's playing time. That will be reduced to 14 for a while as I intend to replace my track as it's already been released elsewhere now (an unsubtle plug, I know)

Most of them are 320K MP3 files so that won't be a problem. There are a few issues however, as I'd like to keep everything the same bitrates (just to be awkward):

I have 2 WAV files, I'm guessing Lee won't mind me using his WAV to produce an MP3 as he said we could do what we liked with it on the other thread but I don't know who submitted the WAV file The Perfect Drone. Would they like to make themselves known?

The track Sleepsong2 is Sleep Now Bug Eyed Woman by Subsonika (as I discovered by looking through the other thread) so I could master a 320 MP3 from the WAV on Archive.org if you're unable to provide one as the version I have now is 224.

Frater's track is at 192 and Drew's is a WMA - any chance of 320s of these?

(Note: on edit - if you can't or really don't feel you want to then I don't mind - I'll just use what I've got…)

If there's anybody else out there who wants to send in a track and hasn't - I'm gonna give you until midnight on May 21st UK time - (no later unless you can persuade me otherwise). Then I'll do my best to get the whole thing up by the end of May.

Either upload tracks somewhere and send me the links or send them directly to me. 320K MP3s only please and tag the tracks so I know who they're by. The e-mail is

wmm06 AT hotmail DOT co DOT uk

If you send me tracks directly, let me know here please, as I've had occasional problems in the past with sending and receiving MP3s on Hotmail.

One last thing, I'll be keeping the title May Cause Drowsiness but I'm not so sure about the cover. Any thoughts?

Edit: I've bagged DVR056 for this.

Yeah, do you wanna take over Crumb? I totally dropped the ball on this one.
Had all kinds of friends and family die, computer problem after problem, etc. etc.
blah blah excuses, excuses, I can send you everything I have for it if you give me your e-mail address and you can release it.

I didn't really get enough tracks and also got tired of trying to get people to send me tracks. I guess I wanted it to be bigger and have about 20 songs or so and at the moment I have about 10 I think. So that was the biggest thing, then shit started happening. I suppose this is my last attempt at hosting a Compilation album.

I didn't realize how much work went into it, I guess.
I would like to use the album cover I made still though.

Sorry for the delay, I have been in and out of jail over the last 2 or 3 months having all sorts of insane issues going down. To make a long story short I apologize to everyone for the delay of the ambient compilation. My original plan was to release it on Thanksgiving, but now I am releasing it this coming weekend, which gives all those who haven't contributed a few extra days to submit a track.

I suppose this will be my last compilation attempt seeing as how I suck at organizing them and putting them together. So anyway, the comp will be out this weekend. Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported the efforts. Rock on.

hyphield
