i did however find an error in my track title - not sure if it's only on the cover or also in the mp3 tag - i think i should have tagged it correctly - it should say:

"his Namelessness Is Legion - Synaptic Sleepercell" (as in 'inactive terrorcell' Says :"sleep cell" on the cover)… and the "h" in "his" is always lowercase with this project name… i know, confusing, isn't it…:)

well, if you (and or whoever is uploading the mp3s) could correct that, i'd be very grateful. thanx a lot!

This is shaping up nicely now. I spammed this at a couple of other places, not really expecting much, and I've had several more tracks in and a few more maybe on the way - all from people who've never contributed anything here before. I've no idea if they'll ever want to contribute anything furthur after hearing the end product :) Still, this is going to be interesting regardless.

Right, I've had a listen through what I've got and it's in pretty good shape. Including Mitch's track, there are 15 in all, coming in at just over an hour's playing time. That will be reduced to 14 for a while as I intend to replace my track as it's already been released elsewhere now (_{an unsubtle plug, I know})

Most of them are 320K MP3 files so that won't be a problem. There are a few issues however, as I'd like to keep everything the same bitrates (just to be awkward):

I have 2 WAV files, I'm guessing Lee won't mind me using his WAV to produce an MP3 as he said we could do what we liked with it on the other thread but I don't know who submitted the WAV file The Perfect Drone. Would they like to make themselves known?

The track Sleepsong2 is Sleep Now Bug Eyed Woman by Subsonika (as I discovered by looking through the other thread) so I could master a 320 MP3 from the WAV on Archive.org if you're unable to provide one as the version I have now is 224.

Frater's track is at 192 and Drew's is a WMA - any chance of 320s of these?

(Note: on edit - if you can't or really don't feel you want to then I don't mind - I'll just use what I've got…)

If you send me tracks directly, let me know here please, as I've had occasional problems in the past with sending and receiving MP3s on Hotmail.

I didn't really get enough tracks and also got tired of trying to get people to send me tracks. I guess I wanted it to be bigger and have about 20 songs or so and at the moment I have about 10 I think. So that was the biggest thing, then shit started happening. I suppose this is my last attempt at hosting a Compilation album.

I didn't realize how much work went into it, I guess.
I would like to use the album cover I made still though.

is there some way we can transfer the tracks/compiling duties to a different leader? no offense intended, but i'd actually looked forward to this release and am tired of the endless delays.

Do we even know who sent tracks or where they might be found if we have to reconstruct this? I'm quite willing to take this on if nobody else is, but right now I say give our man a bit longer. If he's got big problems elsewhere this more than likely isn't top of the to-do pile right now…

Well, those of us who read stuff from that other place can say that Pidgin might have been a grumpy git about us here, but there are other worse people who don't even care about the music so much as pretending to start a dialogue in order to simply troll, and while I hope that isn't the case here, who knows?

i don't own equipment, however, my contributions to the field of ambient music are not to be taken lightly. i rock the ambient world in a way it was never meant to be rocked before.. kind of like selected ambient works 1, but i'm more like, unselected ambient slags 4.
