the salad dressing sequence with about 3:08 left in the video is truly sublime.
This will probably be quite baffling to you non-Paddys, but for those of you who have visited Ireland, Mullingar is a town in county Westmeath. It's a bit like Bray only way worse and with more crime.
Wait! Do not play the clip above until you have read this text. When you play this clip for the first time, play it with your eyes closed. Listen to what the man is saying. Now, play it again with your eyes open. Do you hear BA-BA, GA-GA, or DA-DA? Most adults (98%) think they are hearing “DA” - a so called “fused response” - where the “D” is a result of an audio-visual illusion. In reality you are hearing the sound “BA”, while you are seeing the lip movements “GA”.

Here's the Welsh equivalent… There's probably a genre in this. Chav-hop (but with whatever your local version of a chav is).
On a similar theme (a relatively clean version this, using "bloody")
The real version, with a whole lot of "f**cking"
Meanwhile, talking of chav-hop, here's my new favourite genre, "Scouse house" AKA "Donk":
I'm seriously tempted to put a donk on everything I do these days. Yeah man. Bassline? Put on a donk on it. Electro? Put a donk on it. Techno? Put a donk on it.
Yeah.
Put a donk on it.
Put a donk on it.
Donk da donk donk donk.
matty, you don't have a copy of that on mp3 or CD or record do you??
the donk track i mean.
as long as you commit it will always work!

Nah man, not yet, but as soon as I find a vinyl version I'm grabbing it, for sure.
[on edit] Looks like you can get a cd version from Juno: http://www.juno.co.uk/products/326029-1.htm
Love that donk tune, we've been rinsing that one out in Wicklow and Dublin for quite a while. Also love John Cooper-Clarke, my favourite bit of his is the Psycle Sluts - "tyres are knackered, knackers are tired…" Amazing.
Here's some bizzare irish comedy - Soupy Norman is made from bits of a polish soap opera dubbed (nonsensically) into english. You can find all the full episodes on youtube. Oh, and "culchie" means a rural person, it comes from the word "agriculture".
John Callaghan live in France - coming to Colchester this May!
The Aqua Teen Hunger Force "bomb" scare duo field a press conference on the topic of haircuts from the 70s - as seen on Fox News.
Former child antiques "expert" James, now terminally deluded transsexual Lauren Harries teaches a drama workshop, with assistance from Keith "yes, I am Lily's dad" Allen.
Oh yeah, and this:
man, i wish mr. kirby would post some of the videos he showed me while in germany in this thread…too much great stuff to remember it all.
the only ones i specifically recall are the Taco live performances and the Acid Train video…
Haha, yeah i will sort it somepoint. I will get you those photo's from here too. Have just had my head up my own arse doing all this new work for the past three months. Always a challenge when you do it all yourself.
An oldie but a goodie:
Van Halen turn into The Residents, courtesy of sample-rate buggery:
Ah, that gets me nostalgic for this:
Negativland is one of my favorite bands if you can call them a band, in history!!!
Wait, what? Berlin are evil now?
dammit! how do you embed a youtube vid?
I copied the embed code
dammit! how do you embed a youtube vid?
You have to wrap it in the special wikidot mark-up… You can click the little video camera icon above the text box to give you the tags and stick the embed code in there…
It should look like this:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com blah blah blah></object>

Spike Jones and his City Slickers, a favourite of my dear old dad.

I'm so used to the Beatles version, I have to control myself from busting out with "not half!" at the appropriate moment.
We've been plsynig the Shiek of Araby in my uke group, its a great song :)

I don't know what plysnig means, but it's my new favourite word.
Love that era of music by the way, all that wonderful ragtime, swing, dixieland, early pop ballads, blues, bluegrass, etc etc, anything from 1900 - 1945 basically. Here's one of my favourite singers from the 30s, Elsie Carlisle:
Also, another version of Shiek of Araby by the genius Django Reinhardt from 1937:
Ah, love a bit of Darkthrone at their most primitive, it's almost a joke how bad it sounds, but somehow they get away with it by being so "evil" and "kvlt" and all the rest. There's certainly a world of difference between proper underground black metal and Metallica or even respectable metal bands like Opeth.
You've got to give props to a band that decided death metal was too shiny and polished and not nearly evil enough, and came out with some of the ugliest, filthiest, grimmest music ever committed to record. Punk as fuck.
Something about animals + musical instruments just amuses the crap out of me.
sorry if u r russian
sorry for neglecting this thread for so long. actually, i was on a really shit computer, and 3 or 4 embedded videos on one page was enough to crash it. thankfully, i had the foresight to nick my wife's credit card and purchase a new laptop before that shitty desktop finally packed it in.
anyway, that 'whole slayer album at once' video is just what i wanted to hear.
