I am enjoying it as it goes, it reminds me of a classic late 80s industrial (a little Severed Heads, a little Meat Beat Manifesto) but with more a brute force noise aesthetic. An acquired taste then (like much of DV) but I love it.
Many, many thanks to Lee for putting this up on our behalf. The artwork contains a disclaimer, but I'll repeat it here to lower everybody's expectations:
This digital recording is compiled from extremely rare 3.5" floppy discs encoded between 1994 and 2004. No effort has been made to remaster it in order to produce the best possible sound. To preserve the musical integrity of these tracks, we have tried to retain the original features of the mix, including background noise, flat EQ, overcompressed vocals and virtually inaudible lyrics. To avoid disappointment, the listener is advised to approach this recording from a historical perspective.
The copyright in these recordings is owned by the many bands, solo artists, film and documentary makers whose work has been plundered, distorted and used out of context in order to create this album. Pindown can accept no responsibility for third party legal action resulting from the unauthorised copying, hiring, renting, public performance or broadcasting of this record.
Can someone put this on the MySpace please? Thanks.
looks interesting. downloading now, and will listen when i feel like it.
Bump, because the Pindown boys are putting me on in Ipswich next week for what will almost certainly be the final UK Mixomatosis show, and I'd like to show my gratitude.
