Just checked the page history… Looks like it was someone called John Lemmons who added it. I've deleted it now, but we should keep an eye on this individual:

No, we shouldn't have any ads at all, I've paid for the ad free version. This is a spammer (a boring and rather inefficient one at that), and I've already removed him as a user of the site.
It's fairly pointless trying to vandalise this wiki because it's so easy to roll back changes and remove/ban users. That said, if anyone notices abuses like this getting worse, let me know and I or another admin can lock down the sign up page to only allow people in with the secret password.

I'm not convinced it's software, because you have to actually read the page to get the password.
But anyway guys, keep an eye on the situation, if it looks like it's recurring problem we'll lock down membership a little (I think just moving the password behind a link or two should foil standard spamming software).

Right, I see he tried again, the edits lasted minutes (as promised, thanks to Thee Crumb), but I'm getting a bit sick of it, so I've locked the site up. Basically I've changed the password, and anyone who wants it has to email me. I can then check whether they're a spammer or not, and give out the password accordingly.
Hopefully this guy will get bored and move on (he really should, he's like the least effective spammer I've ever seen) and I'll open the gates up again.
In the meantime, BYE BYE FUCKWIT, find another part of the web to pollute with your crap :P

It's a bit of a pain in the arse having to do something like that just because of a lone spammer - but I suppose it would've had to have happened sooner or later anyway. Even though we pride ourselves on being some kind of open collective where anybody can join or contribute, we're leaving ourselves wide open to attacks like this. I don't want to see this site clogged with spam for handbags and the like, as has happened elsewhere.
